The following are the prerequisites for installing ExpressCheck:

Stable network connection between all terminals and the Positouch Back-Office server

Administrative credentials for editing Positouch configuration files
2 POS Configuration – Pre Installation
The following section describes the required changes in Positouch configuration prior to installation:
2.1 Identify the Back-Office Server Confirm the main Positouch server that holds the PVM and DDF directories. 2.2 Back Up Configuration Copy the entire C:Posi directory and any .ini or .cfg files before editing. 2.3 Create Interface User In Employee Maintenance, add an employee named ExpressCheck Interface with Manager/Admin access. 2.4 Add Tender Type In Maintenance → Tender Keys, create ExpressCheck; enable Amount Required and Reference Required; assign a free Tender ID. 2.5 Create Service Charge Item Under Menu Items, add Expck Reward Club Fee ($0.50, Tax None, Report Group ExpressCheck Fee). 2.6 Configure Discount/Reward Add ExpressReward under Discount Maintenance (apply to entire check, manager approval required). 2.7 Verify Printer Groups and Routing Confirm ExpressCheck items and fees appear on guest receipts .

4 POS Configuration – Post Installation
4.1 Install ExpressCheck Software Run the installer on the Brain computer; choose Positouch as POS Type; enter CityCheers credentials. 4.2 Edit Configuration Files Open C:PosiPOSiCom.ini and verify communication port and interface DLL entries. 4.3 Register the Interface Open ExpressCheck Settings Utility → set POS Type = Positouch → enter Interface User ID. 4.4 Deploy to Terminals Copy client files to each C:Posi folder; confirm matching INI entries. 4.5 Restart Services and Verify Restart POS services, then run a test ExpressCheck transaction to confirm posting.
